Parent Volunteers
RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, COOPERATION and KINDNESS

Picture

Many special activities, athletics and events are possible only because of parent/guardian volunteers.

We appreciate you!

To be able to volunteer at the school we must have a completed Criminal Record Check.
If you also volunteer where you are driving any students we also require a Volunteer Driver Application Form completed attached with a Driver's Abstract and proof of valid vehicle insurance.

Criminal Record Checks - DO NOT GO TO THE RCMP DETACHMENT - Click here for website!
There is no cost to do your volunteer Criminal Record Check!
Please review Policy & Procedures 920 - Volunteers in Districts Schools

If you have children who have transferred from another school in our district to QJS, and want to volunteer here, we can check if you have a valid Criminal Record check completed on file with the District Administration Office. Please print off the confirmation page and bring it into the school.  YOU MAY NOT VOLUNTEER until the school has the confirmation number.

NOTE:  Volunteers may be asked to be fingerprinted.   If you receive a letter from the Criminal Records Review program regarding this, you should follow the directions in the letter.

The access code to complete the Criminal Record Check is:  HE2WQFBB7X

Volunteer Drivers

Many of our activities (especially team sports) are dependent on volunteer drivers.  To be a volunteer driver, you need to have a completed Criminal Record Check (see above).
  1. Volunteer Driver information needs to be completed on a yearly basis.  To complete this step, the school requires the following:
A completed Criminal Record Check on file with the school district (this application is good for 5 years).
  2. A completed Drivers Abstract - This is a printout of your current driving record.  This can be obtained free of charge from the government building.
  3. A completed Volunteer Driver Application form.
  4. A copy of the valid insurance you have on the vehicle you would be driving for volunteering.  What is required for minimum insurance coverage is listed on the Volunteer Driver Application Form.
